Manuel graduated from the University of Twente in 2026 with a Master’s degree in Civil Engineering & Management, specialising in Civil Engineering Structures. After completing his Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering at Universidad de los Andes in Colombia, he continued his studies in the Netherlands to further develop his expertise as a civil engineer.

During his Master’s degree, Manuel developed a broad interest in the interaction between technical challenges and the societal context in which projects are realised. For his graduation research, he focused on drought issues in the Twente region, combining technical analyses of the soil and water system with the various interests involved in water management.

At GEO2, Manuel applies this broad perspective and his technical knowledge to the field of geotechnical engineering. He is analytical, eager to learn and curious, and enjoys working collaboratively on complex challenges and developing technically sound and practically applicable solutions.
