Dennis is a civil engineer (MSc, Delft University of Technology, 2008) with a strong background in geotechnical engineering. During his graduation project, he researched how the Afsluitdijk could be upgraded to meet current flood protection standards, in combination with the application of sustainable energy solutions.
After graduating, Dennis started his career in 2009 as a geotechnical engineer at one of the largest contractors in the Netherlands. Through his involvement in a wide range of small and large-scale projects, he developed into an all-round and experienced geotechnical consultant. He has in-depth expertise in foundations, retaining structures in complex conditions, the stability of foundation equipment and driveability and vibratory analysis. In addition, he has extensive experience with field measurements and testing, including Pile Driving Analyses and sheet pile tests.
Dennis has contributed to major infrastructure and development projects such as the A15 Maasvlakte-Vaanplein, N31 Traverse Harlingen, The Entree in Amsterdam, The Ede Public Transport Hub and the development of the Boekelermeer Port in Alkmaar. He has also carried out pile drivability analyses for international projects in Europe (including the Butendiek Offshore Wind Farm), Asia, Australia and Africa. Furthermore, he was involved in performing static and dynamic pile tests for the expansion of the Staatsolie refinery in Suriname.
In addition to this project work, Dennis actively participated in the CUR committee 'Begaanbaarheid van bouwterreinen', where he contributed his practical knowledge and experience regarding foundation machinery.
Since October 2016, Dennis has been part of the GEO2 Engineering B.V. team, where he serves as a knowledge resource for colleagues. Dennis is known as a practically minded, technically strong and collaborative team player.
